1. Core Privacy Philosophy

We believe you should not have to trade your privacy to brainstorm, sketch concepts, or teach a class. Free Online Whiteboard is built to be a client-side utility application: it runs in your browser, writes to your browser's local memory, and doesn't upload your data to remote databases.

2. How We Store Your Boards

When you create drawings, sticky notes, shapes, or upload images, the elements are serialized and saved inside your browser's Local Storage.

• We do not transmit your local whiteboard data over the web.
• We do not have database accounts holding your whiteboard documents.
• Clearing your browser cache or deleting application data will delete the boards stored on that device.

3. Shareable Boards & URLs

If you choose to use the "Share Link" action, your board configuration is bundled in the URL parameters or as temporary read-only state. We do not index these URLs, nor do we crawl or inspect shared boards. Anyone who has access to the URL can view the static state shared at that moment.

4. Cookies and Web Analytics

To help analyze site performance and maintain our service, we use third-party web analytics and behavioral tools (specifically Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).

• Google Analytics uses cookies to track anonymous traffic and user interactions on our website, such as page views and session duration.
• We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services.
• Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. Free Online Whiteboard does not solicit, gather, or require any registration information, making it safe and compliant for classrooms and school environments. We collect no personal data from users of any age, including children under 13.
